ON THE PROPERTY

We have 3 Bass dams of which inhouse guests can fish on 2, on a catch and release basis. These dams are not open to the general public for fishing. Our Dams are home to Bass as big as 6,6kg and more recently 4,6kg have been caught and released. All our dams are catch & release only. St Ives has become known as one of the best bass fishing spots in the Midlands. Bringing your own rod and fishing equipment is Essential.

We have a 2.5 km or a 5 km scenic walking /running trails which start at the small gate of the BOMA, exclusively available to our inhouse guests.

BIRD WATCHING & GAME VIEWING

An abundance of bird species have been found here (as much as 18 species in 1 hour) with the midlands being home to many Cranes such as Crowned Cranes and Blue Cranes which can be found nesting on the Estate. Our beautiful Zebra often have young all year round so you will be sure to see the cutest baby Zebra along with Wildebeest, Impala, Blesbok & other antelope that Roam the estate freely.

OUTDOOR KIDS PLAY AREAS

The Kids will enjoy endless hours of entertainment at the BOMA while socializing and enjoying the Trampoline, mini ziplines and the wooden jungle gyms. The lodge also has wooden jungle gyms at the pool area.

SWIMMING POOL WITH BRAAI FACILITIES

The pool area has 2 braais and Lighting which are perfectly situated to enable you to relax and  watch the wildlife grazing while the sun goes down. The Pool area is open from 8am - 9pm only in order to keep noise levels to a minimum for other guests. The pool area is strictly Only available to Lodge Guests.

    Other true meander curios, Local produce and wonderful gifts can be found as well as a Mini Steam Train for rides on Weekends and Holidays.
