SA AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION CONGRESS 2021

I trust this letter finds you well.

On behalf of myself as the Chairman of the SA Air Force Association (SAAFA) Durban Branch, I want to thank you and your staff for the excellent service we enjoyed during the 3-night stay and Banquet during our Annual National Congress this past week.  At no time did you, or any staff member, seem flustered by any request that Linda or I threw your way, and every teatime or meal was on time.

The accommodation was great, and Linda and I would like to visit again on our own sometime.  We stayed in Room 14 which was excellent.

People have posted photos of the St Ives on Facebook to show how lovely it is, and delegates enquired when we (the Durban Branch) would arrange another Congress there again.

You and your staff understand excellence, as we discussed, and everyone was really impressed.

Your liaison with Sherree wrt the Banquet was seamless, and everything ran perfectly.

I was initially not impressed when Hugh Paine showed me your “pizza and burger” Boma menu (for a National Congress!), but we will come visit again just for your spareribs, pizza and burgers.  You must have the greatest hamburger patties in the country.  Everyone mentioned the great food.  Des runs a tight show in the Boma wrt the bar and the service wrt the restaurant, and he is commended by us.
